Firstly, I adore my chunky knits but to test myself and get even more from knitting, I have started to venture into working with smaller needles and shaping. This new approach started last year and my first result was my Bowie Vest and thankfully you wonderful people loved her too. Since the start of this year I have been exploring more and even though its taken some time, I’m happy to finally announce my new Summer Days Cardigan pattern (Yes I was a major Home and Away fan back in the day or Grease if that what came to mind). This piece is something I’ve personally filed under ‘Everyday Knits’ in my mind, she can go anyway, with anything and most importantly become a layering staple. I have tested this piece on two different yarns a merino mix which is breathable & classic or a fluffy mohair that’s fun and more casual. I love a good sleeve (as you know) and that’s exactly what i’ve given this knit, with the seaming on the sleeves becoming a focus point and part of the overall design.

I am myself a self-taught knitter and I have created all my patterns with that in mind, adding extra descriptions and imagery to help guide you through the process. I use my Instagram platform to make video content that will aid you through some of the key techniques featured in my patterns. How long will it take to knit : 20-30 hours but if you have knitted before then it could be faster.

Sizing : Pattern is available to make in eight sizes from a UK size 8-22.

Skill Level : This is an intermediate level knitting pattern and the techniques you will need to know are cast on, knit, purl, picking up stitches and increasing & decreasing stitches.

Needles : Straight Needles : Size 5mm (US 8) 7mm (no US equivalent). Circular Needles Size Size 5mm (US 8) 7mm (no US equivalent) 100cm (Not used in the round, used back and fore).
