First pattern release of 2024 is here, the ‘Matilda Hat’. A chunky hat with a super wide brim that gives the illusion of a brimless hat. I love the style of this hat after seeing similar versions being worn on some of the ski resorts but were made in soft pile fleece. So I went about working on how I could hand knit it a version in wool, here is the result, meet ‘Matilda’.

The ‘Matilda Hat’ is a super quick make, made on big 15mm needles using super chunky yarn. She’s seamless and comes in one size that fits all & her shaping makes her an easy wear that suits everyone. I have made her in 5 colours already for myself and I’m planning more.

I am myself a self taught knitter and I have created the pattern with that in mind, adding lots of extra descriptions and imagery to help guide you through the process. I am also happy to help with any pattern queries, just get in contact through my email.
